The School Board also recognized the Holgate MathCounts team, which is the second best in the state!
Team members include: Mitchell Golz, Evan Smith, Levi Edwards, Cohwen Heimann snd Corban Landis.
Individually, Levi holds the title as the best in the state, and Cohwen is the fourth best, and both qualified for nationals! Great job!

This weekend, the Golden Eagles' Special Olympics basketball teams competed in the state tournament in Mitchell.
In their divisions:
The Golden Eagles Blue Team received 1st place.
The Golden Eagles Gold Team received 4th place.
The Golden Eagles White team received 5th place.
Along with these, Craig Johnson received the award for the Spirit of Sportsmanship! Go Eagles!

The softball games vs Watertown and Pierre on 3/26 will be rescheduled for 3/28.
Games will be held in the PC dome. Schedule: AC v Pierre 3:00 followed by Pierre v Watertown and AC v Watertown. Varsity games only.
The School Board meeting for the Aberdeen Public Schools has been postponed until Tuesday, March 26 at 5:30 pm at the District Service Center.
Due to the continuation of the Winter Storm Warning, the Aberdeen Public Schools will be CLOSED on Monday, March 25. Winds are expected to increase overnight with the potential for more snow. Stay safe Golden Eagles!

The Aberdeen Public School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Paiton Burckhard as the girls basketball coach for the '24-'25 season. Paiton is a graduate of CHS and helped lead the Golden Eagles to state championships in 2016 and 2018. After graduation, she was a standout player at SDSU. Paiton is currently working on her speech pathology degree at USD.
Aberdeen Central competed in the State Art competition and Art Wars competition over break, and two students received second placed in two categories:
• Liz Preszler, Photography, State Finals Art Wars
• Ken Aumer, Acrylic/Oil painting, State Art competition!
