🎨 Artists Supporting Artists at Aberdeen Public Schools 🎨
On Thursday, Simmons Middle School 8th grader Isabella Carlson supported a fellow student artist by purchasing a piece of artwork created by May Overby 4th grader Freya Meyer!
The artwork was recently on display at the ACT production of “Finding Nemo Jr.” It depicts Peach, the character Isabella played in the performance.
Isabella, a National PTA Reflections winner, wanted to support a fellow student artist.
“We should support everybody, including at a young age,” she said.
Freya said she was excited when she found out Isabella wanted to buy her artwork, and she wants to be an artist when she grows up.
“I love art,” she said.
Isabella offered her words of encouragement.
“Keep going with art,” she said. “You’re really talented already. You can make big accomplishments in the future.”
