Band instrument fittings: Parents are encouraged to attend! Holgate, Tuesday, April 22, 4-7; Simmons, Thursday, April 24, 4-7; Sessions are held in the gym and are “come-and-go” style. All future band students need to come to instrument fittings as not every person can make a sound on every instrument! We need to help you find the instrument that fits you best and create a balanced band so we sound good! Your student needs to complete this process before beginning band class. If your student did not register for band class but would like to join, he/she may do so at this event. Questions? Please contact the band directors! Mrs. Braun’s Regional Indian Studies class recently took a field trip to the local Dacotah Prairie Museum! Students had the opportunity to tour exhibits and learn about the land of South Dakota prior to colonization. They explored traditional tipis and lodges used by Native American tribes during that time and engaged with authentic artifacts and intricate beadwork. As part of the experience, students were also given a hands-on lesson in beading, allowing them to create their own pieces inspired by traditional Native American techniques. #AberdeenPublicSchools
