SMS play

Simmons Middle School students will present the play, “Tongue Twisted,” on Tuesday, Feb. 10 and Thursday, Feb. 12.

Moses Roses may have the ability to say, “Sly Sam slurps Sally’s soup,” but he doesn’t know what to do with Sally Seashell and his nightmares from the past. Sally blames Roses for losing an important tongue twister tournament 30 years ago. Now, he is a teacher at Bitter Batter School, the very same school he represented in the tournament. He has dived into teaching Shakespeare, always trying to dismiss that dreadful day from his mind. But Sally also returns to Bitter Batter, taking over the role of principal. She has only one thing on her mind–winning the tongue twister tournament and regaining the trophy.

Performances are at 7 p.m. both nights in the Holgate Middle School Theater. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
