Sept. caught in the act winner

Congratulations to our September 2025 Caught in the Act winners, Katie Koehler and Sara Tennant!

Koehler, third-grade teacher at Simmons Elementary, has been recognized in the category of choosing a great attitude.

She was nominated by Jamie Cox, Resource Room EA at Simmons, who wrote, “Katie has the most outstanding and contagious attitude when teaching. Her kids love her! Just being in her classroom makes me want to be a better version of myself.”

Tennant, Title I teacher at Lincoln Elementary, has been recognized in the categories of making someone’s day, being there for others and choosing a great attitude.

She was nominated by Dawn Sahli, fourth-grade teacher at Lincoln, who wrote, “Sara always has a wonderful attitude. She’s always willing to help cover a classroom in an emergency or take a class out for recess. She’s a wonderful teammate!”
