ABERDEEN, S.D. – New teachers in the Aberdeen Public School District will have extra funds to set up their first classrooms, thanks to grants from the Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation.
The Foundation gifted $200 to each of the new teachers from schools across the district. The teachers receiving grants are:

· Taylor Barbato, Holgate Middle School
· Chloe Rush, Holgate Middle School
· Ally Cunningham, C.C. Lee Elementary School
· Victoria Eschenbaum, Lincoln Elementary School
· Grace Nelson, Lincoln Elementary School
· Tatum Crady, Lincoln Elementary School
· Alexis Stange, May Overby Elementary School
· Alexis LaFave, Mike Miller Elementary School
· Jasmine Groft, Mike Miller Elementary School
· Rachel Hemke, Mike Miller Elementary School
· Kyra Fairchild, O.M. Tiffany Elementary School
· Randi Schuster, Simmons Elementary School
· Allison Kluver, Simmons Elementary School
This year’s new teacher grants are sponsored in part in memory of Robert Nikolas. The grants may be used to purchase supplies and items to set up the teachers’ new classrooms.
