SMS Jazz Band kicked off the jazz season at the Palace City Jazz Festival.
✈️ Hands-on learning at its best! 8th graders in Mrs. Wilkinson’s PLTW class have been learning the correct vocabulary terms used to describe flight. Today, students put those terms into action by working in groups to guide a blindfolded teammate through an obstacle course by only using words like yaw, roll, pitch, climb, ascend, and descend.
This was super fun, highly engaging, and a fantastic example of learning by doing!

This week, we have two Golden Eagle Athletes of the Week: Congratulations to Allison Neitzel and Esten Foss! Allison went 4-0 on Friday to win 1st place at our home tournament, and Esten was the Lee Wolf Champ and 2-0 in ESD Duals! Great job, Golden Eagles! 💙🦅💛 #GoEagles #AberdeenPublicSchools
