This holiday season, our Youth Power students shared the spirit of giving by creating handmade ornaments and heartfelt cards for residents at our local nursing home. Through creativity and kindness, students worked to spread joy to others.
BLITZ Day = A Win for Everyone!
Last week, we rolled out our very first BLITZ Day, and it was all about meeting students where they’re at!
Students who were all caught up kicked off the morning with choices like gaga ball, lightning, and pin guard in the gym, relaxing with a movie, or games with friends in the cafeteria!
At the same time, this BLITZ day gave teachers dedicated time and space to work with students who needed extra support by reteaching, answering questions, and helping them get back on track with missing work.

Students in K. Thompson’s core who were off ICU and fully caught up earned a pretty epic reward 🎮✨
Thanks to Mrs. Peterson, they got to test-drive the Nintendo Switches that will be used for our brand-new middle school e-sports league! Their hard work has paid off!!

Golden Crew and Achieve sponsored some holiday fun this morning. We had Elfie Selfies, candy canes, music and Christmas spirit galore!
The Holgate PTA spread holiday cheer by dropping off free coffee at all 9 #AberdeenPublicSchools, the DSC, the APD, and fire stations! ☕ The coffee was donated thanks to a grant from the National PTA, Happy Coffee and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Thank you, HMS PTA! 💙🦅💛
The 8th grade Robotics students have been working hard on automated mini-golf obstacles. Today they got to test them out with some of their classmates! ⛳️

Congratulations to this week’s Golden Eagle Athlete of the Week, Kenadi Withers!
Kenadi had a phenomenal first weekend of the basketball season. She sparked the team’s offense in both games on Friday and Saturday and was relentless on the boards, grabbing a total of 16 rebounds over the weekend. On Saturday, she recorded a double-double in the game against Rapid City Stevens. Her effort and energy were noticeable, making her a key contributor to the team’s strong start to the season!

Today is National Gingerbread House Day. Mrs. Anderson's homeroom celebrated it by creating their own gingerbread houses this week. Some students may have had a little trouble not taste testing their product.

Holiday games were played at Youth Power this week!! Members enjoyed some festive snacks while they played.
Times for girls and boys wrestling have been adjusted due to road conditions. Girls will wrestle in Spearfish at 8:00cst. Boys will wrestle in Rapid City at 5:30cst. Times are approximate - GO EAGLES!
