Merry Christmas!
The December guest speakers for the International Club were Felix Schmalhaus and Alessio Fusini. Both boys are foreign exchange students at Central High School. Felix is from Germany and Alessio is from Italy. In both countries, students start learning English in 5th grade. They shared German and Italian culture and spoke about the importance of learning another language. The International Club students were able to ask questions, too. Felix likes to watch American football and likes both the burgers in Germany and in the U.S. Alessio loves to play basketball and watch the World Cup. He is amazed at how pizza here in the U.S. is so different from pizza in Italy. Our next meeting will be January 11. All students are invited to join the International Club.

The 7th grade class wrote and carried out a new experiment to find out if bio-degradable laundry detergent is actually safer than regular laundry detergent.
Some 8th grade Automation and Robotics students are making sure their car is running smoothly.
The 7th Grade Medical Detectives made brain hats to learn about different parts of the brain!
