6th graders working on their sewn pillow cases



The 6th Grade Design and Modeling students made their own shoes this term! They needed a logo and a slogan to go with their design. Their 6th grade teachers and the office staff voted for their favorite! Which one was your favorite?





The International Club's guest speaker was Mr. Ai. He was born in Shanghai, China, (population 24 million at night and 33 million during the day), and he moved to Watertown at age 15. In China, students start learning English in 1st grade. Chinese students attend middle school from 7 AM to 7 PM and then study each night. They must pass a test to get into high school and only 50% pass. Mr. Ai taught us to say hello in Chinese. Ni Hao!


AC's Esports team is competing today vs Madison and Woonsocket.

AC vs OG basketball has been rescheduled. Girls will play at home Feb 13 at 7:00. Boys will play at OG on Feb 18 - game time TBD.

The following activities will be cancelled/postponed for today:
Boys and girls BB v OG;
Gymnastics tri in SF;
Boys and girls MS BB v Pierre

The MS Lee Wolf wrestling tourney and the JV/MS gymnastics will be cancelled due to road conditions.

MATHCOUNTS hosted their annual invitational contest on January, 11th. We hosted 11 schools with 22 teams in all. Congrats to all those mathletes who participated!

SMS 8th graders 'learning the ropes' in a boat building STEM challenge!




The 6th Grade Design and Modeling students had to build a spaghetti tower to support a marshmallow at the top. A new height record was set at 27.875 inches! They beat the last record by over 4 inches!
