7th graders in Conklin and Wilkinson's classes made boats this week that needed to hold the most rubber ducks. The winning boat held 28 ducks! 🦆
Our students are finishing strong in 7th Grade Math class! They've been putting their skills to the test with Scale Drawing projects, showcasing creativity, precision, and perseverance. We're proud of their hard work and attention to detail—what a great way to wrap up the year!

Fun collaboration with the 1st graders at Simmons Elementary for their bubble day! The 1st graders designed bubbles wands using shapes they learned during the year, and the 6th grade Design and Modeling students turned them into a digital format so they could be 3D printed! 🫧

TECHNOLOGY UPDATE: We will be collecting devices from 6th graders, 7th graders, and students not returning (Chromebook, charger, and bag) at the end of the school year. Current 8th graders will keep their device (Chromebook, charger, and bag) over the summer and take their device with them to CHS at the start of the new school year in August.
We recommend that you complete an assessment of your child’s Chromebook. If there are issues with your student’s Chromebook, we encourage you to send the device to your school librarian before the end of the school year so it can be sent for repairs. Insurance expires each year and will need to be purchased again for next school year in August.
There will be an awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 20 at 8:30am for Simmons Middle School students. Parents should have received a letter of notification if your student is receiving an award.
8th Grade Recognition will begin at approximately 10:00am Tuesday, May 20. Families of 8th grade students are welcome to attend.
