Our elementary schools are celebrating #ReadAcrossAmerica with fun activities and dress-up days! On Tuesday, Simmons Elementary students wore pajamas and watched a movie. At Mike Miller Elementary, students wore colorful clothing—and got a visit from The Cat in the Hat!
Today’s dress up day for Read Across America Week was “Team Up to Read!” We got to wear a jersey or sports gear!

2nd grade had a classroom transformation! Simmons Hospital was full of doctors performing place value surgery, contraction surgery and surgery with prefixes and suffixes! These little doctors worked hard and had fun!

We got to make instruments out of recycled materials to wrap up our reading unit on expressing ourselves. Today Mrs. Bunsness let us bring our instruments to Music and play them along with a tune!
