Congratulations to this week’s Golden Eagle Athlete of the Week, Rakyrah Wallace! Rakyrah was one of 9 athletes to qualify for the Girls Wrestling State Tournament. She pulled the upset to win the championship and was instrumental in helping the Golden Eagles win the team region 3 championship! #GoEagles #AberdeenPublicSchools 💙🦅💛

Aberdeen School District will start two hours late, tomorrow, Thursday, February 19. No AM Preschool, and no students will be traveling to Pierre for elementary chorus or CHS student senate.

Due to blizzard conditions, there will be no school today, Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

Here’s what Coach Paiton Burckhard had to say:

“Kamdyn Borge had a phenomenal performance in our game on Thursday, February 12th vs. Huron. She finished with 22 points, shooting an impressive 4-of-6 from the three-point line. Kamdyn stepped up in big moments and provided a huge spark for our team, especially when we needed momentum. Beyond her scoring, she brought energy on both ends of the floor. She competed defensively and lifted her teammates with her effort and leadership. Her performance was a major factor in our success that night and demonstrated the impact she can make when she plays aggressively and confidently.”
