The girls tennis match scheduled for Saturday, Sept 2 in Mitchell has been postponed to Sept 22 due to the extreme heat forecasted in Mitchell.

The AC v Brandon soccer game on Saturday (9/2) has been moved ahead due to projected heat index. Girls will play at 10:30am followed by the boys game. This is a time change. Go Eagles!

SMS parents - Our students heard the message of Rachel Scott today during an assembly. Come hear the inspiring true story about one girl’s dream to change the world. There is a Rachel's Challenge community event open to the public, ages 12 and up, on Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. in the CHS Theatre.
On another note, please remember that there will be no school Monday, September 4th.

6th grade language arts classes had a scavenger hunt in the library today!





In science we did a team building puzzle. Students had to work together to complete the puzzle.


Students in Mrs. Conklin's classes participated in the Storm Drain STEM Challenge today! They had to retrieve important items from a makeshift storm drain using random "junk" given to them. There were some very creative tools made!





Mrs. Ottenbacher's ELA class working on their first writing assignment!


8th grade SMS science students trying their hand at the engineering and design process by building cargo boats. Winning design held 116 washers before sinking!
