The SMS International Club recently gathered to celebrate Black History Month through a project involving the invention of the traffic signal. Often referred to as the "stoplight," the traffic signal is attributed to Garrett Morgan, an African-American inventor and entrepreneur. Each stoplight features famous Black Americans across various fields such as arts, sciences, sports, civil rights, politics, and literature. Everyone is invited to join the SMS International Club. We meet once a month during homeroom to explore cultures, languages, and traditions from around the world.
