This week, the EMR class took advantage of the great weather outside to run through emergency extraction scenarios. The students were given a description of different emergency situations and took turns running the scenario.
Also this week, the EMR students tested a patient as part of a psychomotor examination for oxygen administration. Well done, students!

The spring sports kick off meeting will be held on March 4 in Golden Eagle Arena at 7:00pm. Athletes (grades 7-12) and parents involved in boys and girls track, girls golf, softball and boys tennis are encouraged to attend.
CHS offers several opportunities that support post high school preparation and exploration. This week Sophomores were given the opportunity to take a preACT. The students that opted into taking this exam gained experience in standardize test taking and will also receive individual scores later this year. Individual scores can be used to gain insight on their performance level when taking their ACT during Junior or Senior year, along with help give insight on what courses they should take next year.
Students are encouraged to meet with their School Counselor, Advocate and Teachers to gain added support in post high planning. CHS team is always here to support students.

Congratulations to Ava Rott for receiving the Youth of the Year Award, and Marissah Nordine for receiving the A.C.E. (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Award from the Aberdeen Exchange Club. Each student received a plauqe and a $600 dollar scholarship. Congratulations!!
