Starting TOMORROW, Holgate Middle School will once again battle it out for the ultimate title of Coin Wars Champion—all while raising money to support HMS students and fulfill local Angel Tree wishes! ❤️🎄
Here’s how it works:
🔹 Coins = Positive Points for your homeroom
🔹 Paper money = Negative Points for other homerooms (👀 sabotage time…)
🔹 Top homerooms earn a spot in the Dodgeball Showdown on Dec. 23
Buckets will be out during homeroom all week (Dec.8-11).
All money raised goes straight to supporting HMS families this holiday season. 💛

The 7th and 8th grade girls basketball jamboree has been cancelled due to forecasted weather conditions in the SF metro area on Dec 6, 2025. The jamboree will not be rescheduled. The next GBB game will be held in Watertown on Dec. 9.

Due to the weather conditions, Aberdeen Public Schools will be dismissing at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 25. The YDC, Boys & Girls Club and Ride Line will be picking up students at 1 p.m. There will be no afterschool activities and no afternoon preschool. Thank you and have a happy Thanksgiving!
We hope to see all current 8th graders and their parents at CHS Theater on Monday, November 24th at 7pm for an information meeting on CHS academics and registration. Come and get all the information you need for your 2026-2027 Freshman. Teachers from all departments will be available to help your student make the most of their freshman schedule and help them set up an academic plan for high school. This meeting is VERY important for all students and parents to begin a successful academic journey at CHS. We can’t wait to meet you!

The Design and Modeling classes at Simmons Middle School and Holgate Middle School designed snowflakes that were 3D printed and then used to decorate a tree for the Dacotah Prairie Museum's Christmas Tree Lane! Great job, Golden Eagles!

On November 20th, 8th grade students will be meeting with our school counselors from CHS about 9th grade course registration here at HMS during the school day. Students will be working with staff to complete these course registrations and will be bringing these home as well. All students will receive a Gold Book which outlines the high school course descriptions and requirements. Please utilize the gold book to help with choosing courses. The Gold Book is also posted online on the CHS Student Services web page:
