Congratulations to these CHS seniors who won the FAFSA Filing Scholarship offered by Student Services. To apply for this scholarship, seniors had to send verification of their FAFSA filing to their assigned School Counselor by the designated deadline. Winners won $100 and were selected by random draw.

Today, CHS students heard from Sarah Smarsh, best-selling author of The Big Read-Aberdeen title, “Heartland.” Thank you, Sarah, and thank you, KO Lee Aberdeen Public Library, for organizing the visit! The public is invited to hear Sarah speak at the library at 6:30 p.m. tonight!

LITTLE EAGLES Girls Youth Basketball Camp For grades K-6th is being held June 3-5, 2024.
This camp is put on by the High School Golden Eagle Basketball Coaches and Players.
Cost is $30.00
Camp will be held at the Aberdeen Strode Center, from 10:00am-12:00pm June 3-5, 2024.

SANFORD SUMMER PROGRAM INFORMATION:
CHS Staff members Dr. Board, Mr. Briese, Mrs. Hertel, Mrs. Strong, and Mrs. Ketterling recently went to Sioux Falls to visit Jefferson High School to learn about their Freshman Academy. They were able to listen to Dr. Todd Novak and Scott Habeeb who are experts in the field.
CHS Senior volleyball player, Ashley Wangler, signed to continue her volleyball career at the collegiate level! She will be playing volleyball for Dakota State University starting this fall!

Aberdeen Central v Watertown Track and Field dual will be held on April 22 starting at 4:00 at the Brownell Activities Complex. Middle School and High School athletes will be competing.
