Parent teachers conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, November 24, from 5:00 to 9:00 at CHS. We do plan to go forward with conferences using the same format as we did for term 1. Parents with last names: A – G 5:00 to 6:00 H – O 6:00 to 7:00 P – Z 7:00 to 8:00 Alternate 8:00 – 9:00 The alternate time is the time parents should come in if they cannot make the recommended time.

Golden Eagles volleyball team will host a SODAK-16 volleyball play-off game on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Opponent and match time are pending. No passes are accepted. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students.

Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles volleyball program will be presenting three special awards after tonight's make-up match with the Pierre Governors ... Grade Myhre will be honored for surpassing 1,000 sets in her career ... The Aberdeen Point of Dispensing (POD) is offering free seasonal influenza vaccine to all children 6 months through 18 years of age. The free flu clinic for children will be held at the Aberdeen Civic Arena (203 S Washington St, Aberdeen, SD 57401) on Friday, October 30th, 2020 from 3:30 to 6:00PM. The state is supplying the vaccine free of charge and there will be no administration fee at this vaccination clinic. Parent/guardian consent is required, and parents/guardians need to bring the 2020-2021 flu consent form completed with their children to move through the line quickly. Aberdeen Central Competition Cheer squad will NOT travel to the 2020 State Spirit Championships this weekend in Rapid City.

State Cross Country Meet will be held on Saturday, October 24 @Hart Ranch Golf Course in Rapid City ... race times for all classes have been moved up to avoid pending winter storm ... AA girls will run at 11:45 AM and AA boys at 12:15 PM - Mountain Standard Time

ESD AAA football contest between the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles and the Watertown Arrows has been postponed until friday, October 23, 2020. Game time is now 5:00 PM @Swisher Field. Go Eagles!

Term two starts on October 19. Any remote learners wanting to return to in-person learning at Central should contact their counselor to adjust their schedule. After this upcoming transition date, the next opportunity to transition back to in-person learning is the start of the third term on January 6, 2021. Students transitioning to remote learning at the term break need to turn in a completed remote learning form and then communicate with your counselor on setting up your Edgenuity coursework. For students who are doing remote learning and making little or no progress, please note that truancy can filed. If remote learning is not working for you please consider coming back to CHS. Truancy will not be filed on any student who returns to in-person learning. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact a counselor or administrator.

ESD Conference Cross Country Championships - Saturday, October 10, starting at 11:00 AM - Lee Park - Back Nine - great weather and great races - come and watch the fun - open attendance - please follow CDC guidelines in order to keep our student-athletes safe, in school, and competing on our teams! CHS will present the play One by One, a murder mystery in the style of an Agatha Christie classic on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. The show runs about 1 hour with no intermission. Due to Covid Restrictions, all tickets must be purchased/reserved in advance.
