It's a busy night at CHS! Come check out the America 250 display from the Dakota Prairie Museum, visit your high school student's teacher at conferences, or watch the All City Chorus perform in the TF Kelly theatre! The National Honors Society is selling baked goods, the Educators Rising still has their spirit shoe fundraiser going on, and the SADD chapter has the Hearts of Hope donation drive for Midwest Street Medicine. It's a great day to be a Golden Eagle! @dakotaprairiemuseum

TONIGHT ONLY!! Check out the only performance of Central's entry to the SDHSAA One Act play competition. 'Antigone Now.' Doors open at 6:30 show at 7 o'clock. Free will donation accepted. Donations offset costs for food for students at the festival.

After the 45 minute performance, there will be a public adjudication that fans are welcome to stay and observe as the cast is critiqued by an expert.

Things are tense in the city of Thebes…there’s a strict new King, a rebellious teen, a ghost, and a group of gossipy citizens. See this modern retelling of Sophocles’ “Antigone” on Tuesday! Public performance of “Antigone Now” is next Tuesday February 3rd at 7:00 pm! Admission is a free-will donation and all proceeds will be used to pay for a team meal for the students on our trip to the State one-act festival this week. Come support these students, and stick around after to hear a public adjudication of our show! Antigone Now Synopsis: In the midst of a bombed-out city still feeling the aftershocks of war, the rebellious and intense Antigone defies her uncle to bury her disgraced brother. This contemporary response to the myth of Antigone brings powerful, modern prose to an ancient and universal story.
