ABERDEEN, S.D. – Aberdeen Central High School will host a Veterans Day Program featuring Senator Mike Rounds at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10. 

The public is invited to attend the event, which will take place in the Central High School Arena. Rounds will be the featured speaker. 

When Senator Rounds was sworn into the Senate in 2015, he made serving on the Veterans Affairs committee a priority. He continues to serve on the Veterans Affairs Committee today along with Senate Armed Services Committee, Banking, Housing and Urban Development, Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and the Select Committee on Intelligence. 

Central’s Veterans Day program will also include performances by the CHS Band and the Aberdeen Elementary Choir, which will sing the National Anthem along with other songs. The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Central Student Body President Alexis Ketterling. 

The American Legion Color Guard will present the colors. Event emcee will be Ron Krogman. Aberdeen veterans’ organizations will be introduced, and Gold Star parents will be recognized.
