Congratulation to Mrs. Jennifer Weishaar, who was recently named the Region 4 Teacher of the Year for the state of South Dakota! Mrs. Weishaar is a first-grade teacher at Mike Miller Elementary School and was awarded the Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation’s Golden Apple Award in January, prompting the Teacher of the Year application process. Mrs. Weishaar is known for her calm, caring demeanor, willingness to participate on building and district-level committees, and highly engaging lessons. Over the next few months, Mrs. Weishaar will navigate the South Dakota Teacher of the Year application process, with the winner being announced later this fall.
