Congratulations to our October 2025 Caught in the Act winners, Dimka Eilts Bahamonde and Joan Ray!
Bahamonde, ESL Teacher at CHS, has been recognized in the categories of being there for others and choosing a great attitude.
She was nominated by CHS Social Studies Teacher Ashlee Strong, who wrote, “Dimka is an amazing supporter of her students, always making sure they feel supported and encouraged. She always has a smile and hug for them. I couldn’t have taught ELL criminal justice without her!”

Ray, SPED Resource Room Teacher at C.C. Lee Elementary, has been recognized in the category of being there for others.
She was nominated by Lucky Peterson, Simmons Elementary Deaf Educator, who wrote, “Joan took time out of her busy schedule to help me when I was not able to explain something to a teacher.”
Has a co-worker gone above and beyond to help you or make your day better? Nominate them for Caught in the Act! Pick up a nomination form in your school’s office and return it to Wendy Miller, human resources receptionist, in the District Service Center!
