ATEC Skills USA winners

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Aberdeen Central ATEC Academy students received honors at the recent South Dakota SkillsUSA state competition.

 

Two ATEC students received first place, qualifying for nationals:

 

  • Porter Kolb, first place in Auto Service Technology

  • Conner Miller, first place in Auto Maintenance and Light Repair

 

Kolb and Miller, both juniors at CHS, will now be competing at the Nationals SkillsUSA competition, which will be held June 23-27 in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

The state competition took place April 10-11 at Mitchell Tech. Additional ATEC students receiving honors at the state level were juniors Jacob Hieb (third place, Auto Maintenance and Light Repair) and Bailey Gillen (third place, Carpentry).
