Our school has a long and proud tradition of service to the Aberdeen community. Simmons Elementary was erected in 1955. A million dollar addition was constructed in 1989 that provided a state of the art media library center, two computer labs, music and art rooms. In 2011, Simmons expanded again by adding a new gym, computer center, four classrooms, special education service rooms, and an updated playground.

Simmons Elementary provides an environment for excellence in academics and character building. Our educational environment promotes student lead learning, thoughtful inquiry, fosters innovation, develops social interaction skills, and stimulates excitement about teaching and learning.
